USTA Non-Elimination Tournament Webinars

Dear USTA Official,

USTA is excited to announce USTA_Officiatingenhancements to our TDM software. The enhancements will allow for simpler management of non-elimination tournaments by utilizing the TDM Wizard. Many of these events are entry-level non-elimination tournaments that don’t typically require the use of officials. In some cases as a Referee, you could be involved with this type of an event. If you are involved or could potentially be involved with a non-elimination tournament, we hope you take advantage of this training opportunity. Statement on PNW USTA Website Regarding Pending Litigation

I just read this statement on the USTA/PNW website today and thought I’d share it.

BEAVERTON, Ore. (September 18, 2013) – We were saddened to learn of the recent complaint filed by a certified official against USTA/PNW. The USTA/PNW has a longstanding reputation of promoting an inclusive culture in which individual differences are respected and valued as qualities that strengthen our tennis communities and contribute to promoting and developing the growth of tennis at every level in our Section. We are working with legal counsel to review the merits of this case.

Integrity is the first step to true greatness. Men love to praise, but are slow to practice it. To maintain it in high places costs self-denial; in all places it is liable to opposition, but its end is glorious, and the universe will yet do it homage.–Charles Simmons
Please feel free to send your favorite pictures of our dear friend, Perry Hines, and I will add them to this slideshow.
